Ceftriaxone + Sulbactam Injection is a combination antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin with broad-spectrum activity, effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the efficacy of ceftriaxone by preventing bacterial resistance caused by beta-lactamase enzymes. This combination is commonly used for treating respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, and septicemia. It is administered via intramuscular or intravenous injection, ensuring rapid and effective bacterial clearance.

Recommended Usage:

• Indications:
  • Respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis.
  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs).
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Intra-abdominal infections such as peritonitis.
  • Bone and joint infections.
  • Septicemia and bacterial meningitis.
• Dosage and Administration:
  • The dosage depends on the severity of the infection, patient’s age, and weight. Typical doses for adults are 1-2 g of Ceftriaxone combined with the appropriate Sulbactam dose every 12 or 24 hours.
  • Administer intramuscularly or intravenously as directed by a healthcare provider.
  • Reconstitute the injection using the prescribed diluent before administration.
  • Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed to avoid the development of resistance.
